HRSA Funding Received

RMUís Department of Nursing has received a grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in support of the Access Interprofessional Mental Health Education (AIME) program for RMUís DNP program.  Dr. Kirstyn Kameg will serve as the Primary Investigator, and Dr. Judith Kaufmann and Dr. Valerie Howard are serving as Project Advisors. There has been an identified national need for quality psychiatric providers with interprofessional competencies who are skilled in working with patients with multiple chronic conditions.  Because of this, the RISE Center will assist the Department of Nursing with development of at least ten new interprofessional simulation scenarios that focus on the care of individuals with multiple chronic conditions by the year 2016.

Additionally, an increase in demand has prompted three additional positions to be created in the SNHS and RISE Center.  For more information, click here:  http://sentry.rmu.edu/OnTheMove/findoutmore.open_page?iPage=60999
